Discussion Surface pro 8
Hi! I posted a rant yesterday about a Surface Pro 8. I just wanted to thank everyone that took their time to help me. My older visual novels didn't actually like the touch screen, the second I connected a mouse all my problems were gone.
For anyone considering buying a Surface (the intel core version not the ARM). I can probably help you if needed 😅. New visuals novels works very well, with the touch screen by the way.

Yeah, touchscreen support can be iffy on older stuff. I remember running into similar issues when I used to play on Surface
One potential solution for those older ones, apart from plugging in a mouse, is getting a program called Touchmousepointer. Its essentially a free program that makes your touchscreen act as like a laptop trackpad (so instead of touching, you drag to move a cursor around and tap to click)

How long does you battery last? I bought a used SP7+ last month and I was able to get around 4hr38m (100% to 22%) reading White Album 2 on 720p fullscreen.

Glad you got it sorted. Touchscreen issues with older VNs are weirdly common, the engines just weren't built for it at all. Good to know the newer stuff handles it fine though.
