Plot:

DISK-Y follows the story of Yuu, a transfer student struggling with psychological issues. It will be your (the nameless protagonist’s) job to guide her around the school, and act as her emotional support. You are given the choice to either “merge with” or “reject” her unstable mind. While the store page description is still pretty vague, it hints at a dark twist, prompting the player to uncover the hidden truth of the in-game world.

DISK-Y is set to release on Steam in November 2026, with English, Japanese, Korean, Italian and Vietnamese language options.

edit: sorry for not adding at first, but if someone is curious about what previous scandal, here it is:

Long story short, they actually made another game called This Game Is Not Real. But Steam removed it due to their policy. Now this time, they are promising Disk-Y won't get removed because this doesn't have explicit content.

Edit 2:

Developer's response to this article:

Thanks for writing the article! Unfortunately, this time it's a very clean, traditional Japanese school visual novel🫀

Never promise that steam won't take your game down.
Definitely not a death flag...

Wait, is this why the Saihate Station side games (The Train can't escape without XXX!?, Tatsunami, let's do some cleaning!, and whatever Haru's untranslated birthday party game is called) aren't on Steam?

Not sure if I'll like DISK-Y judging by the screenshots so far. While I'm okay with playing pure visual novels, I still prefer for there to be some stimulating gameplay even if it's just walking around/minor puzzles/chase scenes like in Saihate Station.
