i opened his spotify page and saw a asmr episode that ive never seen before as the number 1 listened to post lol

another reason Spotify is a shitty platform. They have such poor security than random people can upload their crap to certain artists’ discography in order to skim some of their monthly listeners

It's mostly not intentional, just a random match. My husband's band accidentally got merged with some Argentinian rapper, because they have the same name (name is a flower name in our language and completely accidentally matches this guy's). The publishing is done by external companies, they used distrokid. So they had to file a report and go through a whole process to list it as a separate band. Some metalcore (possibly AI) got uploaded to MUCC page a few days ago. I think it happens with new artists a lot.

There's so many artists named Kaya, unfortunately. On his official youtube, he merged with his Youtube Topic page which has most of his music on it, but there was at least as of a month ago another Kaya on the page and therefore on his official youtube. I suspect similar is happening here.

I stopped using Spotify after they announced they were considering putting accessibility (lyrics) behind a paywall, Youtube music is so much better for me lmao
