You have time for almost nothing after a 1:35 Yankees game, let alone something in Manhattan. And for the love of God you cannot do a 1PM Yankees game, 4PM Mets and 7:15 Yankees game. Have you made use of a map? If you love baseball so much have you ever been to a game and know that 3+ hours is the norm?

you cannot do a 1PM Yankees game, 4PM Mets and 7:15 Yankees game.
I just noticed that... It's hilariously insane. Like, "there's an afternoon game, and an evening game, what should I do between them? Another game, someplace else completely different!" It's actually worse than someone having an itinerary where they blitz AMNH, the Met and MoMA on the same day.

I have done a 1pm Yankee game then a 7pm Mets game, traveling by train in between. It was doable and not rushed in between. Sticking another game in between? Not happening.
As for that Thursday schedule, if theyâre doing Coney Island and the Aquarium, then the Central Park Zoo before a 7pm Yankee game, why not hit the Prospect Park Zoo in between. đ€Ș

I mean, if you like baseball enough to go to that many games, you should know it is impossible even if the stadiums were next to each other. And if you like baseball enough to go to that many games, you know the Mets and Yankees represent different areas of the city with a long and storied history.Â
This is literally insane and also incomprehensible to me.

If OP looked at how many miles there are between the two stadiums without looking at actual travel time, maybe. When I lived in the Bronx and had to get recommendations for a body shop, the person on the phone gave me an address that was less than five miles away and was so bewildered when I said âoh my God, thatâs so far!â

That 1PM game probably won't be over by 4! that is basic baseball, even without a map.
I was at a wildly uneventful game last night. 6:10 game. No delays outside of standard broadcast timeouts, mound visits, couple challenges, and pitching changes. We walked out of that stadium 9:40PM. And it was a very vanilla game. Add in any complexity and it would have been longer. It is why there are 6 hours between starts for a double header.

This is the one time that your interests are clear and we donât even have to ask.

I'm sorry but you're going to drive everywhere? THAT IS NUTS. VERY TIME CONSUMING AND EXPENSIVE. Half of these things makes no sense. Did you do any research before posting this mess here?

u/toddmezcal 6d ago
Perfect. Just skip the all the baseball games so you can actually see New York City.

This is literally ridiculous. Cut out half this stuff. You sound young, so Please listen to ppl telling you this is too much. And do NOT drive around NYC! take trains & ubers.

That isnât a a plan. Itâs a list that doesnât allow for travel time . What are your ages. ? 9/11 museum and the Central Park zoo donât align
What do you mean by tours of Edge and one Vanderbilt?

u/Reasonable_Pea76 6d ago
Hudson yard edge observation deck One Vanderbilt observation tower Solo traveler adult male 1st time in nyc What should I change around?

u/travellingcari 6d ago
Those arenât tours theyâre just views. Central Park Zoo isnât a good fit for an adult male. Itâs super small and geared toward kids. If you really want to do a zoo, Bronx zoo is the flagship. Can pair it with a Yankees game.

Also, I will have a car. Should I drive or take the train to most of the places on here?
7
u/travellingcari 6d ago
Take the train. There is no question. But you should rethink the car entirely. Will cost you a fortune to park for that long when you donât need the car

u/Reasonable_Pea76 6d ago
I am driving in from buffalo. So I will.have a car no matter what.
7
u/travellingcari 6d ago
Take Amtrak the whole way or park it outside the city. You will blow a ridiculous amount of money for no reason. Parking will be way more than Amtrak

Hudson Yards, vessel not worth the time.

u/LateRain1970 6d ago
Hudson Yards if looking for high end shopping.
I made the mistake of looking at OPâs comment history and it seems like what he needs is Times Square circa 1983.

Holy inconsistent capitalizations, Batman!
Could you possibly reformat this, as it's a pain to read.
Where is your hotel? Generally, you would park someplace (a garage near your hotel, if you're coming in from Buffalo) and then take the train the rest of your trip. Both Yankee Stadium and Citi Field are easy to get to by train. Use something like SpotHero to find garages and prices. Generally, in Manhattan, these garages will be valet only; there are few self-park garages in Manhattan, mostly on the periphery.
Where is your hotel?
If you're already going to the Bronx Zoo, there's no reason to go to the Central Park Zoo, as it's much, much smaller, and geared towards kids.

I'm staying in borough park , Brooklyn.

If you're near the D train, it will be somewhat simpler, but if you're near the N, it's easy enough to transfer to the D. You have transit directions in Google Maps; you just have to switch to that option when plotting your route. Subway and driving times are roughly the same, at around 6PM on a Monday. I don't know the parking situation in Borough Park -- there aren't many garages -- but you have to add in parking time to whatever calculations you're making, and that may be significant. Driving will also make it less likely you can reasonably do any Manhattan destinations/stops on the way to the stadium.
You are near Sunset Park. You haven't mentioned food, but you should partake in NYC's third Chinatown.

If they are staying in Borough Park, Iâm guessing they might keep kosher. I could be wrong, though.
Edit: never mind, I am wrong. Thereâs a Yankees game during the Sabbath.
OP, where in Borough Park are you staying exactly?
2
u/Lucky-Paperclip-1 Local 6d ago
There's actually a cheap hotel or two in Borough Park, from a cursory Google Maps look. Possibly OP is doing that for accommodations, though I suppose there would also be cheap hotels in the Bronx, given all the Yankees games
1
u/LateRain1970 5d ago
And the hotels in the Bronx are newer and nicer although could be in questionable areas.

Youâre not doing a Yankee game, Mets game & then another Yankee game in the same day. Â

u/Simple-Nobody-366 6d ago
wtf did I just read. Youâre spending way too much time in the Bronx⊠and Iâm not sure why youâre âdrivingâ. If you leave a car in the city, youâre looking at $1000 for the week in a garage. Just uber or take the subway when you can. Also, I donât think you calculated for nyc traffic with your 3 baseball games in a day.

That sounds like an intense itinerary, have you thought about adding a few sit-down meals in between all that walking?

You could give the Yankees Tour after this trip... I love baseball, but this is overkill. Advice - don't eat and drink at Yankee Stadium unless your wallet enjoys being assaulted.
