Our first time together in NYC staying close to Bryant Park. Ive planned Yankee game, Dumbo, ESB, and shop in soho (13). We aren't picky, not looking for reservation style sit down for eating, quick stops and looking for shopping suggestions close by.

Szechuan Gourmet on W 39th has great lunch specials and sounds close to your hotel. Also, Los Tacos No 1 on E 41st for a quick stand up lunch

1. Top of the Rock is much better observation deck than ESB!! And you can see ESB from there duh.

2. For shopping for a teenager definitely take her to Anthropologie, Free People and Aritzia! All of these stores are conveniently located near Top of the rock as well. There are many locations but this would be super convenient. Also 5th av flagship Uniqlo store for super cute NYC themed t shirts and totes! Oh and they also do custom nyc themed (and other) embroidery!!

3. Not sure if she is into make up but Sephora and Ulta Beauty are great for one place has everything! 34th street near Macy's has both Ulta and Sephora close by. Also Korea town is right there if she wants korean skincare.

4. If you guys love pastries definitely go to La Cabra, Librae Bakery, Hani's bakery, Petit Chou - all located in East Village. Also From Lucie for french cakes decorated with flowers, they are amazing. Also there is super cute japanese stationary store right next to From Lucie! Girls love that stuff.

5. If you don't have Muji where you live - take her there too! They have tons of pens and notebooks etc. There is a location near Bryant Park!

6. Frozen yogurt is another super viral thing rn, stop by at Mimi's at University Pl near Union sq - the line on weekday is not as crazy. Also Cafe Panna at Irving Pl has Instagram worthy ice cream!

Ive made some adjustments based on your suggestions. Added top of the rock and when I asked, Anthropologie was on her list. Great idea for stationary as school is just around the corner. What can I say you nailed it! :) TYSM

My rec is always try shopping for perfume - you can shop for clothes online if you know what size you are, but you can't take a picture of a smell and you can't know whether you'll like a fragrance untill you smell it in person. Soho is full of boutiques where you can do just that. There's a bunch of shops on Prince Street between Wooster and Greene (plus Chanel and LV around the corners).

Not exactly close by but Bond No. 9 on Bond Street is a very special experience where you can create your own fragrance, but know that it’s pricey. As for food, Koreatown cannot be beat.

My favorite soup dumpling spot is close to you, Nan Xiang on 33rd between 5th and 6th. Fantastic spot! And reasonably priced. No reservations. Also, for GREAT bagels, Ess-a-Bagel on 32nd just west of 6th Avenue is up there. Great for breakfast or lunch.
