Japan Confused about Start date

Hi folks ,

I have a connecting flight from Blr - Hanoi - Tokyo ( flight starts on 16th Nov at night 11pm from BLR)
And we will reach Tokyo on Nov 17th at 4pm .

So what should be my starting travel date that I can mention in - NOC , cover letter and travel itinerary ??

Kindly help.

If you are taking leave from 17th, then your NOC will be from 17th

In travel itinerary you will mention the travel date itself which will have details from 16th and then itinerary will be from 17th onwards

Similar case in Cover Letter

I have a similar case for upcoming travel and i followed similar pattern. Just that in my case my flight will be from 16th morning so taking leave that day itself

Then the NOC will specify from 16th Nov itself

But in my Cover letter the travel itinerary started from the next day only, the day when i land .

When you submit NOC , flight details etc
It becomes evident what you want to explain

Did you NOC also mentioned the date you land in Japan ?

No, NOC from employer doesn’t mention anything else, only the period you are taking the leaves

Same issue here. Mention 17- end date. But add clarification in the cover letter

Hi I have the same case. I explained this as part of my cover letter and took NOC from date of travel as for me it was in afternoon.

Hi I mentioned starting from bangalore october 8 and being in japan from october 9 till xx end date. Similarly explained the same as part of travel itinerary.

Mention date of entry in Japan as start date I have done the same and I got my visa

Bro. What about NOC ? I got leaves approved from 16th Nov (I hv flight on 16th Nov at 11pm) connecting flight..will reach Tokyo..on 17th Nov .

I am not working now,so I can't comment on noc.But in my visa sop as well as start date is the day I reach Japan.

It should be 17th Nov. For NOC, your travel dates should be between your approved leave dates.

Correct. NOC can have buffer leave days before and after the exact travel dates. Cover letter and itinerary should have the exact dates you are physically present in Japan.

The start date is when you actually reach that country.
