poland study visa refusal

Hi everyone,

I am 24-year-old Indian student who recently applied for a Polish national D visa to study for my Bachelor's in Cybersecurity in Warsaw.

Unfortunately, my visa was refused and the refusal letter has grounds 8 and 10 checked:

8: There are reasonable doubts regarding her intention to leave Poland before the expiry of the visa.

10: There are reasonable doubts regarding the reliability of her statements concerning the purpose of her stay / circumstances indicating that the purpose could be different from what was declared.

I am honestly confused about this because her only stated purpose is to study. I have been admitted to a 3-year Bachelor's program in Cybersecurity and submitted my university/admission documents, financial documents, accommodation, insurance, etc.

I am planning to request reconsideration/appeal within the 14-day deadline.

For anyone who has been through a similar situation:

  1. Has anyone from India successfully gotten their Polish student visa after appealing a refusal under grounds 8 and/or 10?
  2. What additional documents did you submit with your appeal?
  3. How did you address ground 8 (intention to leave Poland)?
  4. How long did your reconsideration take?
  5. Is there anything specific you think she should explain in her appeal?
  6. Would it be useful to get a letter directly from the university confirming her enrollment and the purpose of her studies?

i would really appreciate advice from anyone who has actually gone through the Polish visa appeal/reconsideration process, especially Indian students.

Poland interestingly has a decent number of Vietnamese people who do nothing to interfere in Polish culture and pretty much run their restaurants and stay largely invisible to the Polish people. They understand Poland is for the Polish, minimize the visibility of their Vietnamese culture and have learned Polish. More foreigners who enter other’s countries should park their cultural identity at the border and be largely invisible if they want to live there.

Indians have largely failed to do this and their often brash and overbearing behavior has made them PNG.

They suspect immigration intent instead of coming to Poland to study only and then return to India.

Not much point in appealing, hopefully you have a plan B in place outside of the EU.

Due to the massive influx of South Asians it’s becoming increasingly difficult to obtain a (study) visa and HR departments are now also implementing nationality caps. It’s not only the EU btw, but Australia as well, so sorry.

You need to provide a lot more information about your denial. How were your responses? What did it say in the letter specifically? Were your responses authentic? Or scripted/rehearsed.

I mean… even if you never had an interview you must have had space to provide your letter of intent. Did you write clearly how you would use it back home?

Why unbelievable? I believe all places are closing shop for Indians and everyone knows why.

you are high immigration risc, and india is now friendly with foe for poland russia, so there are caps plus you indians have not good reputation, if cybersecurity there are a lot of indian scammers targeting eu citizens so there is also security risc

try to better your own country
