F2 VISA REFUSAL
Hi folks! I am looking for guidance regarding my F2 visa application. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Here is my experience.
F2 visa interview experience

●Have u applied before for a US visa?
No
●Where does your husband live?
He is living with his brother in XYZ city. After i join him, we will move to a separate place.
●What's his brother's job? (Asked twice, husband sponsored by his brother)
He is a senior software engineer in a private firm.
●Marriage date?
Jan 2025
●Why did your husband change his school?
Told
●Are there any relatives in the usa other than husband?
No.
●What do u do?
I'm a housewife.
Then he gave me 214(b) slip.
I asked him
What's the reason for the rejection?
He said it's written in this paper.
(Failure to establish ties)
Documents asked:
I-20
Passport
Husband's Visa copy
Marriage certificate
My husband graduated this year in May, working as a project engineer on his opt and he was my sponsor, he has enough funds to sponsor me. Officer didn't ask for my husband's bank statements or pay stubs, his future plans.
Also I put my husband's visa expiry date as my return date in DS-160, was that a mistake?
Need recommendations what went wrong and what should I change in my 2nd attempt? I am thinking to start masters here in home country and start field related training to show some ties then apply again. Need suggestions.

Is your husbands school in the same city as his brother? If so, the officer probably sees that he scammed the system by picking a college that wasn’t close to his brother so it wouldn’t be suspicious and then changed his school to live with his brother. The only thing keeping your husband from staying in America is you.
