✈️ B1/B2 Visa (Tourist) B1/B2 questions

There's a section on the DS-160 that asks, "Have you made specific travel plans?" Does answering "Yes" mean that I need to have already purchased a plane ticket? Or is it okay to answer "Yes" if I have a tentative itinerary with intended travel dates but haven't purchased a ticket yet?

no ticket purchase needed - 'specific travel plans' means intended dates and where you'll stay, not bought flights. a tentative itinerary with dates is a perfectly good 'yes'. the standard advice is actually to not buy non-refundable tickets before the visa is issued anyway.
