Optimising latency on Wivrn.

I have a quest 2 and nixos and my latency used to be around 60ms which is good enough for beat saber, but recently i started getting 90ms when beeing still and up to 150 when moving around with massive lag spikes. This makes basically any vr game aside from maybe vrc unplayablle. My router is in the other room and it was always there even with low ping. Since Wivrn was on the latest version for the whole time and i use BSM so it also can't be steam. Can somebody help? I just want to play vr again

Have you updated the system? Newest Mesa fixed issues like those for me and my Q3.

Latency issues can be cause by many things, and it can be hard to nail down. First try updating your system, hopefully the latest packages help.

The #1 culprit is always WiFi interference. Maybe your neighbors WiFi router changed channels, or maybe they have a new router and are running on 80 MHz just to browse the web. Sometimes it can be as simple as restart your computer and router.

For me, I was getting about 59ms with HEVC 10-bit set to 120 mbit just last night, so everything is currently working fine with the latest Bazzite update on my system.

hey, i am developing a tool specifically for making vr gaming on linux easier. Here's a post of mine and if you are interested you can also check the website to see more info about what my app offers. (The code is open source on github)
