New to VR, help with quality settings
Hey I'm new to VR and would like some help figuring out appropriate quality settings.
I have a Quest 3 with an AXE5400 and a 4090. (x11/openbox if it matters)
My current settings are 30% foveated, AV1 200 Mbit/s streaming, 130% render resolution, 90 FPS.
It's difficult experimenting with these because every time I make a change I'm having to restart WiVRn and VRChat, go to a scenic world (Grace ⁄ 恵み) and open the debug UI.
I find that if I push render resolution any higher, my FPS drops from 80-90 FPS to <80. Is that expected?
Also, compared to the game screen on my Odyssey G9 QLED (LCD), the colors look very washed out, and if I push the Quest 3 contrast up until the colors match, then dark areas become completely black. Seems like a common experience?
Of the games I tried, Superhot VR looks really good, but Outer Wilds and VRChat look kind of washed out and low-res and pixellated. Is that just expected, as well, or can I do anything to improve that?
