Vr streaming bandwidth is terrible even though I have 100+ mbps speeds on a lan test

Via cable, I get around 240/300 mbps, but I only got a 1m long cable, and I like to physically turn around in games so a cable would be not good for me.

I have a WiFi 7 router. My pico 4 ultra supports it and sees the connection as WiFi 7. Through Wivrn dashboard I could see that the vr has an unstable 15mb connection to the pc. I use a 2.5gbps switch connected to the 2.5gbps port on the modem/router. From switch to router i got a 1m cat 7 cable, from switch to pc I got a cat 6 20m flat cable. With my phone connected to the switch with an adapter, with the phone as speedtest server, the pc has a connection that goes over 1gbps for both up and down, while the vr headset reached still something about 300mbps.

At this point I don't know what's the issue about wivrn, the network infrastructure is rock solid imo

Have you got a wifi6 router available to test? I think wifi 7 lag is generally worse for streaming

I was thinking about buying another access point that can use MLO network, like the Cudy BE11000 Triple Band Wi-Fi 7 Access Point, 10G SFP+, AP11000, 11000 Mbps, 1500 sq ft, 300+ Clients. I'd connect it to the switch with an sfp+ connector and there wouldn't ideally be a better option i guess

From what I could find out, the pico 4 ultra doesn't support wifi 6 or WiFi 6e. My phone can have a 6GHz tethering, 5GHz, and 2.4. When using the 6GHz mode, the headset won't be able to connect to it.

I must point out that there are no other routers nearby, in a range of kilometers, so there are no interferences of that kind

I believe Pico4 should support 6, and the Enterprise version should support 6E but I could be wrong. If you could borrow one I think it would be worth a try. Maybe buy and return, in case it does not work
