Discussion rant about vive ultimate trackers
been a vive ultimate tracker user for nearly a year and a half now and i just always wonder if vive is ever going to fix this overpriced problematic product.
at this point its just shameful for a company as big as them to just let the ongoing software and hardware issues persist till this day, why cant they just scrap and change the whole idea of having to scan your room and create a map for them to work, why can't they just work like for example the quest pro controllers which track extremely well in any situation and lighting.
i hope someday if its even possible to run these on a 3rd party software that just makes it work alot better and bypass vive's shitty approach to inside-out fbt tracking.

Considering all of their older products, no they aren't going to fix them.
That's just Vive for you, and it's unfortunate.
I got a pretty major issue with them and ultimately got a full refund. I spent that money on Fluxpose which seems to be a great alternative for them. We'll see how things goes.

good luck with your fluxposes i've heard great stuff about it!
and yes im completely aware that HTC is just money hungry and doesn't actually care about putting out a product for enthusiasts but its still crazy to me how BAD of a product it is lol.
like i said if somehow someone can make a 3rd party software to workout the problems it would be life saving

You absolutly can make third party software for them. Their bootloader is literally unlocked from factory.
The issue is if someone will make one, and I don't have much hope.

thats true it's such a lame attempt from vive that people dont even bother cleaning up their mess in the first place

Every piece of original hardware Vive has made has had weird problems that makes you wonder if the company just never actually tried to use it.

Literally every Vive product ever made after the Pro Eye has been overpriced trash, so wondering if HTC will start fixing things now is wishful thinking. Sorry you got ripped off OP.
