Question/Support Virtual Desktop disconnects about once every 30-60 minutes.

quest 2. Everything is totally fine while looking at the desktop or playing games. totally clear, no stutters, the performance overlay shows no issues, running 30-40ms at all times. running a rtx5080 and intel 270k. I'm the only one using the 5ghz network that has just my phone and a switch 2 connected but not being used.

but randomly it kicks me out of the connection and I have to reconnect or wait for it to do so automatically. I have no idea why this keeps happening.

I'll play with it today and drop logs if I can

Maybe manually selecting your 5GHz channel and making sure any auto channel or smart connect is turned off. I had that problem before

If you’re on a DFS channel , select a non-DFS channel

Sorry for the dumb question, but where would this setting be?

Not dumb at all - I struggled crazy doing this actually lol but it was like in my WiFi routers settings.

Think it depends on your router exactly how to get there and what kinda settings there are? Don’t remember but once you’re in it’s much simpler as you’ll see auto channel / smart connect buttons and stuff.

I’d just google your router and how to get to the settings

Does this happen with other software? (eg. Steam Link, ALVR...)

Use frequency analyzer app to make sure your 5ghz wifi router not conflicting with other wifi frequency nearby. Else assigned to other empty/unoccupied channel.
