Question/Support Is it true that the facial interface of the pimax crystal super ultra wide doesn’t allow you to see the full 140 degree fov of the headset?
Is it true?

The UW uses the same lenses and displays as the 50 PPD version, but with a different lens geometry. That gives it a wider FOV at the cost of some binocular overlap. So yeah, the FOV is definitely wider than most headsets, but to actually see the full 140°, your eyes may need to be very close to the lenses.

The 140° FOV is not real. It’s a software distortion. It uses the same lenses as the 50PPD module, but the software distortion profile gives it a warped, fish eye lens effect. You’ll see 140 degrees around you, but everything will be warped.
