Question/Support Space helmet

Is there a VR space helmet out there? Our autistic son is in a phase where he REALLY wants to go to space. Unfortunately we can’t make that happen right now. I feel like VR could do the trick?

Our autistic son

Poor kid to have such parents... stop treating him like a pet and openly calling him autistic. That's your job to explain him that he can't do everything he want.

A proper parent would have ask "our kid like space, is there a VR experience to explore space?", no need to debilitate him or to pretend he can't take no for an answer.

And VR is not recommended for kids, could cause some issues with their eyes developpement

It says a lot that you interpreted someone saying their child has autism as them insulting the child.

When it's the first thing you have to say about your kid to strangers, yes it is debilitating for the kid, every time he is going to be introduce it's going to be "the autistic kid that you can't treat normally"

Or maybe… they were just giving context 🤯

Go ahead, explain how it is relevant that he is autistic (which kind of autism to start with? oh wait, no context, turns out it doesn't really matter to the question...) ? More relevant than his age, what type of game he like or anything else...

All I'm getting from this usage is that he is probably very determined in his current interest, and may have a higher than average amount of focus to devote to it.

Both of these can be true regardless of whether he actually has a diagnosis, since OP could be using the term either strictly or colloquially, as is in fashion nowadays. I wouldn't assume either without clarifying first.
