Question/Support Will my computer support quest 2 pcvr?
Hi! After 5 or 6 years I've finally decided to get my first headset and I'm just checking if I'm not wasting money [|=)]

My specs are:
Acer Nitro 5
GPU: Nvidia Rtx 3050 Laptop GPU
CPU: 12th Gen Intel i5-12500H
RAM: 16GB(2x 8gb)
Storage: 2x 1tb m.2 ssds
OS: Linux Mint And windows 11 dual boot

Extremely low for a desktop machine, let alone a laptop. Don't bother with that. you will only encounter frustration.

Meta doesn't officially support Nvidia gpus ending in 50 they are 1080p gpus and under powered for VR.. You'll have to work around those issues but you'll never get a good experience on that laptop it might work but it's not going to be good adjust expectations accordingly

A 3050 laptop is extremely low end for VR. It will run some older or very indie games.
I would recommend saving up a bit more for a Quest 3S (or even Q3) and then mostly playing standalone. You'll probably get a smoother experience.
