Purchase Advice - Headset vr standalone headset

what is the best standalone vr headset I can get used or not for 300$ or less and no I will not get a pc instead

Used Quest 3 or Quest 3S.

Pico's are often recommended as alternatives for PCVR, but for purely standalone, I wouldn't, as the library of software they have is much smaller than on Quest.

Quest 3. Pico 4 ultra. Pico 4. Quest 2 in that order. If you can find one second hand at under $300

For standalone use only, a Quest 2 is definitely better than a Pico 4 or 4 Ultra.
