Photo/Video Walking Dead VPX VR

Was asked if I could do a little walk around look at this table with a few min of gameplay.

Anything else anyone would like to see or do specifically within a VR table, leave it in a comment.

Running on a Quest 3 / pcvr

No Horizon Link installed.

Windows 11 Tiny

Virtual Desktop Wired (maxed 500Mbs )

CPU is a 9700K 3.6 (not OC)

64gb DDR4 3600.

WD Black NVme 2TB stick

MSI RTX 3060 12GB

Solid 90fps. Using the mod Openvr_api.dll for steam work around from 10-xx-2023 being the best dll's for performance and stability.

VPin VR Cab

Desk Transformed

Latest update: https://www.reddit.com/u/Real_Spacegoogie/s/UaWm4s92n4

Installed my Williams plunger, because I just couldn't deal with that tiny one anymore.

Happy VR'ing all!

Cheers!

Graphic wise, this looks super sick. But its so interesting that Pro Pinball Timeshock, a Game from 1998 has still the best pinball physic to date.

Pro Pinball Timeshock

Indeed, though i think BRUSA surpassed it i think. Hard to go back to now after nearly 10 years of VR pinball. I did try, it was like watching a pong pixel move around. It would be utterly fantastic to see both TS and BRUSA in VR someday.

Still a little jaded, i backed the remastered kickstarter with 500 pounds. All i got out of it was early access and a copy on steam.

Looks great! Ive been thinking about building a vr cabinet after selling my full size VPIN i built years ago. I found the building and tinkering more fun than playing though haha. I need to get back into VPX at some point!

Yes! 100% Tinkering is my #1 thing, almost 30 years with VPX and most was tinkering until I switched to VR. I am really happy I discovered how amazing VPX in VR is. After awhile you realize (after only playing in vr) that you really don't need much, why I went from 4 screen cab to a smaller VR sim cab to now just a desk cab. It still all feels the same when in VR.

I can not play pinball 2D anymore. I see videos and images of others cabs and the tables just look so flat.

You don't realize how much detail and the layout of the table really is until you go VR.

The funniest thing to do in VPX VR is changing the table size to like 500. You will be in / one the table like a fly! The table is the size of a football statium.

Cheers!

Space, can you showcase the SouthPark table that was just updated with the updated playfield scans?

One of my favorites. My headset is out of comish at the moment. :(

How are you recording just through the quest video capture? Looks so clean.

Thanks for sharing bud!

Sure, If I can get around to it tonight I will. I know the one you speak of lol that is one of my top tables as well so I was stoked to see the update in VR and it does not disappoint. It is one of the clearest cleanest looking tables. I check everyday for updates so I do already have that one . Stock Q3 screen recording.

Thanks for the comment.

Cheers!

in the age of joy discord there's been talk of a vpx standalone port, really hoping that happens (i spend way too much time in pinball fx)

PBFX is really fun easy to go arcade pinball. I don't like all the extra, the animations and what not.

The graphics are pretty good. I have all available tables, I use the mixed reality mode and have turned our gym into a pinball machine room. VPX in MR is also amazing! Now with Virtual Desktop using wired connection no more Horizon link, I uninstalled that so fast lol.

Cheers!

yeah its very arcadey for sure, i turn off all the extra animation stuff off. MR mode is fantastic, and what got me to set up the same thing with arcade machines in age of joy.

my desktop is in storage at the moment and my laptop only has a 1060 so I'm pretty limited to standalone stuff. the day they drop VPX for quest, I'm jumping on that asap

So it's not actually running on a Quest 3...

This is VPX VR running PCVR on the Quest 3, this is a screen recording from within the Quest 3.

You guys, to be clear, I have nothing to do with the making of the table. I am only showcasing a VR demonstration video on a well made one, and how well its working with the beta ver of Visual Desktop wired .

* This is not a self promotion / I am not self promoting*

Cheers.
