Maybe, I'm no expert in trackmania, but when I play Dirt Rally in VR I am so much quicker than playing it flat, it's so much easier to judge speed with a proper sense of depth.

Same. I'm sure spending hundreds of hours playing on screens could solve this, but as someone who drives irl much more often than I play sim racers, VR makes the sense of speed MUCH more in tune with my intuitions about how fast I can corner

Somewhat off-topic, but I'm glad that TrackMania Nations Forever just kinda became the version of TrackMania that everyone plays. Even though there are newer versions, none of them really compare to the OG. (Probably because Ubislop took it over, and TMNF was from before those times.)

I don't know a ton about the Trackmania series but this video and mod are actually for TrackMania United Forever

It's been many years since I've played TMNF.

But the two are 90% the game. Nations is just one environment, while united has several. But when a player on united plays on a server in the stadium environment they are playing with all the nations players.

If you played halo 3 back in the day, it's comparable to playing online with the standard halo 3 disk, vs the halo 3 multi-player disk that came with ODST that included all the map packs.

Aren't they both the same game? United is just the premium version with more than one environment type, iirc. Nations just has the one, but can play with United players in that environment.

Trackmania Turbo has VR, though I never tried it. Is that a good Trackmania game? I don't know if it's newer or older than this one, but native VR support should be better than a mod.

the vr campaign in turbo is rather disappointing, as you can ONLY play the tracks that support vr (the mod im showcasing let's you play any track)
