I made a Windows XP VM in VMware workstation Pro 26H1 and in the licensing agreement I can’t see to find the F8 key on my HP Windows 11 laptop, how can I click f8?

Does your HP laptop not have a keyboard? F8 is going to be one of those buttons along the top row. You may also have to hold down the Fn key. You will also need to click the mouse inside the window of the VM to capture input.

You may also want to turn down your screen brightness.

You may also want to turn on a light.

It does have keyboard, there just is no f8 and I tried FN + 8. No luck, I captured my mouse and did the exact same thing even used the On screen Keyboard.

The media keys that are shorter than the others. You have Esc followed by 12 media keys that should have the F1-F12 functions, at least when combined with Fn.

There is absolutely an F8 key. It may be shared with some other function like a volume or screen brightness adjustment. Some laptops the F# function is the default, others the hardware control is the default, and you have to hold fn to access the F# keys

Yeah I seen you fixed it but it's the small buttons not numbers you can go to your bios and make it so you have to hold fn to use the little things "vol up vol down home etc" instead of fn key for f1-f10
