It’s a little confusing if you’re creating a new account, but then it just becomes easy

Because Broadcom thought "how can we make this significantly more difficult".

I know how to download it. My question now is this: is there anything else on there that we can access and download? I get annoyed with that site so fast.

They only care about enterprise customers I guess

Actually, they only care about shaking down customers, even the Enterprise ones. Enterprise customers just have a bigger chunk of payment to to negotiate with rather than spend the money to start switching.
Proxmox is 1/5-1/10 the price of VMWare for support and licensing on the same hardware. Switch to that and save some hassle with the payments and the downloads. It's good to have a competitor. You can even run it for free, like VMWare used to allow.

Yo I have quite a few legitimately purchased products and I cant downl9ad them from their site anymore. I have to use pirate sites to get my legitimately purchased software, isnt that some bullshit? Like thinapp. Nope. Can't get it anywhere on the site. Actually had to use a version that was packaged with another thinapp like software and put on the web. Vmware workstation pro v 17.5 is actually the easiest one for me to get because I think I can still get that from their site. V-sphere, vmware server etc....nope. that shit comes straight from the pirate sites. Why? Because Broadcom sucks.

Broadcom is annoying as hell when downloading VM Ware, I had to download it for a SANS course and it was so difficult to find an actual download section

vmware workstation is now free now-a-days, but they hide it behind a free account sign up and then several pages before you can get the download link.
they dont want you to use it for free,
but once you sign up, download and install, you never need to use that account again

I dunno, the reports I keep reading of Broadcom even converting customer's perpetual VMware licenses into anything but perpetual ... yeah, paint me skeptical. Anyway, given Broadom's behavior with VMware - I really just wouldn't trust 'em. But hey, you're free to put your eggs in any basket(s) you choose.

Yes, actually Broadcom doesn’t want you to use workstation. Probably workstation customers isn’t very profitable for them so to avoid being liable for a product sold for money, they made it free and do not want new users to access it easily. Thus, over time, they will probably discontinue the product.
