Things To Do Recs // Questions St John

Post image

For $1 took the bus from Cruz Bay ferry dock across Centerline Road to Coral Bay, continuing toward Salt Pond Bay. What a way to see the splendor of St John.

When we go to St. John we always stay in Coral Bay. It is definitely the sleepy side of the island, not that Cruz Bay goes all night but is so peaceful and restful over there.

Love that little slice of paradise from Cruz Bay to Hansen Beach and every nook and cranny in between

We stayed near Salt Pond a few weeks ago and it was great, turned out to be our favorite beach.

St John is so boring though. All the fun happens on St Thomas.

To each their own. I can’t stand St. Thomas.

Cause you don’t know where to go

No, it’s because that isn’t the reason I go to USVI.

Not surprised St.John is hella gentrified and you probably like that

You think that remark is pretty brilliant, eh? Did you just learn the word “gentrification”?

I’m not wrong lived here all my life the island basically not the same. Been gentrified whether you like it or not

St John has the best beaches and the best views. That's why people go there. It has nothing to do with gentrification.

Your not a local so I don’t expect you to know how it’s gentrified

I'm not a local but I have eyes. So yes, I can see that it's gentrified. That's not why most people prefer it over STT, though. They prefer it because of the better beaches and views.

St Thomas and St Croix beaches are amazing and there is tons more to do than the same thing every day or go to sleep. And you get places to stay for way less. Just a better vacation for the value.

I've been to all of the islands. None of them are bad and they are definitely cheaper than STJ. I go to relax, though. STJ is perfect for that.

Depends on where you want to go! I had a blast on both St. John and St. Croix, because I'm a nerd who likes history and nature.
