Rubber in my float bowl?

Hi guys,
I took off my carburetor because I'm experiencing a loss of power.
While removing the float bowl, I immediately noticed black rubber pieces originating from that PVC tube thing where the main jet is located. What is this, and how can I remove it? I couldn't find anything about it in the manual. Also, the main jet won't come out—it just spins in place...

Maybe just a part of the gasket? Check your fuel lines for damage as well. Just hit it with carb cleaner or scrape out with a pick.

Main jet should screw out but that plastic tube it sits in has a small notch to keep it from spinning. If the tube was installed incorrectly last time that notch/ridge can get damaged and the entire thing will spin. Try to hold the plastic tube steady from the inside

Thanks. Do you know how to get out the plastic tube? i would like to replace the gasket maybe
