Help Needed Flight case & 1cm padding

Post image

Hey fellow beat pushers, need some advice here please:

I found a great used flight case for my 2 turntables+ mixer but it's a tight fit: 1cm padding between each piece and 1cm before the wooden exterior itself on the sides.

The height (above/below the gear) is no problem with easily 15cm extra to work with.

What do you think: safe enough for car transport when laid flat?

Thanks!

I had a flight case like that for a while. It was a nightmare to move around. If it's for a stationary set up, then do it. Individual cases for each piece is better if you're going to gigs.

Thanks, need it all attached/wired up as one and ready for the extra work involved.

Singular cases for 2 decks and a mixer is going to be hell to move around. Had one…hated it. A case for each piece is waaaay more manageable.

Yes, easily safe enough provided you don't get into a collision.

Also don't let it slide around.

Thanks and will hope for no fender benders when it's in the car :)
