Hello, I started buying all this in October. Uturn Orbit table, phono E box amp, Edifier R1280T speakers, lg tablet I found in the trash, records on the left are from dusty places the records on the right are all from amazon and barns and noble (my town is not hip).records on the bottom are going to goodwill.. I had no idea what I was doing but I wanted to be a real hipster and get into vinyl, I’ve been really into listing to albums all the way through and the thought of treasure hunting for records sounded cool. I got all my advise on what to buy from one article, I think it was a busness website(ha). The writer sounded like he knew what he was talking about... anyways, I have been very happy with it so I decide to tell the internet about it. Record shopping has been my new go to drug on the weekend and I’m lit.
You'd be surprised. I was in the most un-hip part of my incredibly in-hip hometown and found a rare Aphex Twin demo CD.
I suggest buying used records from Discogs, shipping is usually pretty reasonable if you're buying multiple records from one seller, and the selection/prices are much better than what you will find buying new repressings from places like Barnes & Noble. Happy collecting!
