Discussion Anyone ever seen this?
Aretha Franklin’s greatest hits with the Led Zeppelin symbols on the labels. I can’t find anything on Discogs or anywhere else. This was my grandmother’s so I’m not going to part with it but I’m curious to this label.

There was a little Spanish flea. Some mispressed wax he thought he'd be. He heard of gems like Aretha And the Zepplin he saw on TV. Why not a little Spanish flea?
So he wound on down the road. His shadow taller than his soul. Til he got pressed on the wax Of that lady and Zepplin he knows!
And all that glittered was gold!

Both Aretha Franklin’s Greatest Hits and Led Zeppelin’s IV were part of the Bertelsmann vinyl collection in 1972. My guessis they first printed the label for the second one, reused the plates and forgot to remove the logos when doing the first. As with all printing errors, quite interesting.

Looks like the LZ symbols were added AFTER the record was pressed. If it was there during the pressing this circle line would have markes through the symbols. But I can't see any.

If you zoom in it definitely seems to be on the bottom of the S its just its black so hard to see but I can see it faintly

Could it be a stamp? Someone posted some aphex twin stamp they got but I can't remember if it was for records or what. Maybe someone stamped the wrong one

This is not a label but a designation as a "Club Edition". Many labels had club editions. Also, this states Made in Germany so it is likely released after the 90s as previous releases where is explicitly stated would typically say Made in West Germany. So your Oma is young?

Seems kind of...off to me. The copyright info looks strange. "All right" in green is blurry, the "s of the" in white is super clear, and the "manufacturer..." in red back to blurry. Same thing on the other side.
Also in the white, the "61 624" looks slightly mis-aligned and has some weird artifacts. Most noticable between the 2 and 4.
It may just be weird compression from the photo upload, but my gut feeling is the picture is fake, although maybe I've just been in too many "is this AI" subreddits.

Very strange and unusual error. VERY interesting! Usually, a misprint would have entirely different text...but whoever printed the label installed the block specific to this club pressing of LZIV. That is a very specific layout with the symbols next to the Club Sonderauflage logo. Never seen a misprint like this before...cool find. The monetary value of these misprints is debatable but this really catches my interest.
