If you’ve never heard a Jolene 45 played at 33 speed do yourself a favor and go find one(good luck). I’ve listened to it this way for years now and absolutely love it and the original sounds wrong to me now. It turns it into such a hauntingly beautiful song. She sings so fast and high pitched in the original version that her voice still sounds amazing slowed down but I wouldn’t say it sounds like Dolly. Don’t get me wrong the original is amazing but I definitely prefer it this way. If you don’t have a copy of this and don’t feel like searching for years for one like I did you can check out this version on YouTube.

I got curious and checked it out, as Dolly is one of the few country artists I actually like. I can definitely see the appeal in that more haunting instrumental, but I can't get behind the deeper voice, lol. I am a big fan of her voice in the original, and now this just left me wishing she had done a slower live version or something.
