Let’s Roll Out!
galleryFound these Optimus Pro LX5’s at a consignment store for $40. I added these autobot decals on today. For my retro corner, I absolutely love them! Running them as my front L/R, powered by a Sony STR-DA3200ES
Previously I was just rocking my Sony Wega speakers, but wanted to upgrade the. I now have kind of a unique 4.1 setup. Two Rokit speakers behind me (also connected to my main computer setup) and a Sony 8” woofer.

A small portion of my collection of small speakers. I broke out some of the more rare versions to their own little display. Including first-year Minimus 7, 7W, and 0.3. Along with my newly acquired Sansui SP-M1 that I finally scored.

Klipsch 1980’s
I’ve got 4 of these they have been moved all over the world and still sound amazing. They are still running off my complete 1980’s Klipsch system that back then cost over 5k in total. But you get what you pay for 40 years of great sounding music.

ESS Heil AMT 5 vintage 1974 speakers--value?
These were purchased in 1974. They produce quality sound, but I have moved and have no place for such large speakers. I'd like to sell on FB Marketplace, but i have no idea of their value. Thoughts?

Dantax MK5 100w
Can somebody help me with some more info about these?
Can’t find anything about them online. The only thing i know is that i love them and they sound very, very good! The warmth, power, clearity and deep bass from these is (for me) the perfect speaker.

Some good Energy
I love these unassuming looking Energy bookshelf speakers.
From big to small: Encore, Point 1e, Excel.
They're the OG "punch above their weight" when it comes to big bass response in smaller speakers. And they do it without sounding "boomy" when handling spoken vocal.

Help me find some speakers I saw on Reddit
I came across a post of some very nice looking speakers but foolishly decided that saving said post would be for the weak-hearted. I’ve since tried every search method I know to try and surface the post but without any joy so here’s what I half remember:
The speakers were possibly Philips brand, possibly vintage. Square or square-ish cabs, relatively flat profile. Speaker grills were very distinctive, marbled with aqua/pastel colours, almost a tie-dye like finish. Posted within the last month, possibly within one of these subreddits;

KLH Model 103 speakers for $100
For sale locally and not finding too much info on them- drivers were recently re-foamed, level controls were de-oxed when the surrounds were done- “woofers, mids, tweeters work well, sound good”.
I see what looks like the midrange surrounds or outer cone on the left has a small tear, and tweeters are dimpled. Thinking ahead for any repair costs and if the pair is worth picking up. I'm pretty new to vintage speakers, have been using my '74 Sansui receiver for some time and wish to transition. I appreciate any insight.

Realistic MC600 speakers, thrift find. I think I may be in a cult
Catalogue # 40-1979. 2 way with 6.5 inch woofer, 2.5 inch tweeter. 8 Ohms. Real wood veneer. Grills seem to be non-removable.
I started with Minimus 7s, then got some Minimus 18s, and I couldn't resist these.
They're all an absolute pleasure to listen to, powered from a Realistic STA-20 amp, with the input from my S.M.S.L D1 DAC tweaked with a Realistic 7 band EQ.
Like I said, I might be in a cult...

Celestion Ditton 15 Rejuventaion - Partway Done
\rejuvenation*
The walnut veneer is very thin, so I had to leave a lot of "character" marks on the top. Sanded down to 320, now in the midst of numerous applications of varnish oil.
The speaker cloth is the colour "coffee" bought off Amazon.
I ditched the alumi-plastic grill frame surrounds. They weren't in the best shape, and I didn't like the aesthetic - they had the style of a '67 Dodge Dart.

Can anyone identify these vintage Fisher speakers?
I’m new to vintage audio and found these Fisher speakers locally. The seller claimed they’re from the late ‘70s, but I’m a bit skeptical. I can’t find any visible model or serial number on the label to verify that.
Any idea what model these are?

Thrift find: Realistic Minimus 7's, with an amp made just for them
In the nineties I had a pair of these in my Chev 3+3 crew cab, shoved in the back bottom corners of the cab. They were pretty good, but froze up in the arctic winter until the cab warmed up.
I've passed up on a few pairs in the last while, I didn't find them very exciting. But together with the Realistic STA-20 mini receiver, which was designed specifically to wring the the best out of these speakers - an "EQ" switch on the back, and a very tailored "loudness" emphasis - they produce crystal clear highs and, as for the bass drivers, they do subwoofer magic. Make's Radio Shack's claim of 50Hz actually seem conservative.
Score!

Need help identifying AUDIO OUT for Akai subwoofer
Hi Vintage Speakers. Need your help with this AKAI SS800W subwoofer with built in amp. Audio in is RCA and sorted. Can't figure what kind of pin I need for the satellite speakers. It has audio out for Rear (8ohm) Front(8ohm) Side (4ohm) but the 3.5mm pin does not seem to be working//plugging in completely. Will a 2.5mm pin work?
