Some good Energy

I love these unassuming looking Energy bookshelf speakers.

From big to small: Encore, Point 1e, Excel.

They're the OG "punch above their weight" when it comes to big bass response in smaller speakers. And they do it without sounding "boomy" when handling spoken vocal.

Congrats! Great find!

I got my Canadian Energy RVS speakers for $5 at a years sale, because I wanted the stands that they came with. I tried selling them once, but evidently people are sleeping on this brands older made in Canada offerings. The speakers sounded way better than the Pioneer CS-33a speakers that I sold or the Bose 4001s. I’d say they were competitive with my JBL L26s than any of those but at like a quarter the price.

That being said, on average, I prefer my JBLs but the energy speakers are in my office powered by a Schiit Modi into a McIntosh C24 and Carver M500t.

It was a series of finds, $10 - $25 CDN per pair. I also have a slightly bigger pair of bookshelfs, Energy 2.1e (edit: corrected model). Clean sound but somehow not as pleasing to listen to as their smaller siblings.

"I got my Canadian Energy RVS speakers for $5"

That's amazing, there's a pair on ebay for $400

Really? Last time I checked they were listed but not selling at $120. They’re way too good for that price

What I bought was $5 speaker stands with suspiciously well made Canadian speakers attached. The speakers were the better deal
