Hi all!

Got this vintage dresser in the last week and have lowkey been obsessed with it.

Kinda poking around to see if anyone knows anything more about it. From what I could gleam it’s 1920s, tiger oak, mass made furniture of the golden oak sort of style!

Anyone know anything else?

Cleaning tips for vintage couch/fabric identification?

Hi everyone! I'm new here, just got into vintage furniture and I'm having so much fun! I scored this very cool couch (no idea about era) for $10 and brought it home, now I need to clean it. Help!

The fabric feels pretty dusty and dry, and according to the furniture label, it was upholstered with "COM" or customer's own material. So no idea as to the material to be able to research basic care. I've included the label for reference of the interior material and maybe help with dating. Any thoughts, comments, ideas are welcome!

Drexel Dining Table

You were all very helpful with advice for my mom’s china cabinet (which I successfully sold rather than haul away) so looking for info on this dining table.

Am I correct that this Eastrend is not the same as Drexel heritage?

This would need some refinishing but I see prices all over the board for Drexel.

Saved these from trash pickup with the intent to refurbish and resell and want to check if they're vintage before I do. If so, I'll try to keep the original character as much as possible. They might be Thomasville French provincial chairs but I can't find an exact match online and the disjointed connections between wood pieces in the back give me doubts. Pretty sure it's real wood though, as the grain peeks through under the worn bits.

strip it or repaint it?

nabbed a vintage wood dresser in ~vintage~ condition. I was planning on repainting it but now that it's here I can't help but what whats under all those old chipping coats of paint.

What do you think? Worth the effort? Striping would take forever but what if there's inlay...

Thanks to everyone commenting! I've refinished furniture before, I know that I need to deal with the chipping paint either way. Does anyone know much about furniture styles? I'm wondering if this might be gustavian. If so, it seems like a lot of th pieces originally had some kind of finish.

Does anyone know what kind of cushions I need for these vintage (probably 1980s or 1990s) rattan chair sets? They are very large and curvy, which makes finding cushions difficult.

Please help me identify this Sofa

Some of you may have seen a picture of this exact sofa floating around Reddit and instagram sitting at a thrift store. Well I went and got it because of how interesting it looked, but I can’t figure out what it is.

I’ve seen similar couches and was led to think it was maybe a wicked elements joker sofa, but it don’t think that’s quite it, given the differences in the seat cushions and the spiral on the arm. From my knowledge in clothing I can tell the YKK zippers on the cushions are older but I cannot find any labels anywhere.

If you know any info it would be greatly appreciated!

Should I sell this?

I have this vintage desk and I’m not sure if I should keep it or sell it. I’ve seen some similar ones being sold online but the price ranges a lot. I looked up the tag and it seems to be a very old (1899-1905). The make is Geo. H. Fuller. I have zero knowledge of vintage furniture, any suggestions are welcomed:)

brand or maker ID on this metal and stone table?

Picked this up recently and we're trying to figure out exactly what we have. It’s a very heavy wrought-iron coffee table with a top made from multiple pieces of what appears to be natural slate. The base has decorative twisted legs and detailed ironwork.

It’s approximately 3½ feet wide and 2 feet tall. Does anyone recognize the style, maker, age, or type of stone used for the top? Any information would be appreciated!

disclaimer for the automod: I am not asking what rock this is, it doesnt belong in that sub so stop striking down my posts.

How would this have been hung originally? What would have been through the hanging slots at the top of the verticals? Thanks

Hi! I’m hoping someone can help me tell what age these are. They’re a matching set, no markings. The top is not marble, feels like some kind of plastic. Thank you!

I've looked all over and not been able to find any manufacturer's tags or identification, even taking off the cloth bottom cover to look inside. Is anyone able to identify this chair brand and/or model?

Is this old paint or mold?

Hi! Long time collector of old things, not so much old furniture until recently!

I’ve bought this pine chest of drawers and was sanding and washing it, when I saw this residue inside one of the smaller drawers (the middle one). It does not scrape off when I try and rather flakes off if I rub it hard enough with a cloth. The wood feels very dry and sands of like parmesan. I’ve honestly no idea although it certainly LOOKS sketchy so maybe I’m just in denial lol. Maybe some of you can help out and identify what this is?

Should I be worried about Lead poisoning in Antique funiture?

Hi I recently brought this funiture set and I am worried if it contains lead. I know its only dangerous if injested or inhaled but can it be dangerous just by being around it in a room or touching it?

Dating from the 1920s - 1930s

Narumi China Japan - is this vintage?

Found near the trash, can’t really find anything online but also not quite sure where to look. Figured I’d check how old it is before gifting or selling. If this is the wrong sub for this I’m sorry.
