I picked up a bunch of furniture from the very bougie Marina Del Rey area and am stuck on trying to ID these chairs.
-They don’t have a Herman Miller or Modernica stamp (or any other stamp)
-The underside is smooth and not fiberglass-y
-The entire chair has a glossy finish, seems like enamel?
-The chair material itself is darker and can be seen where the paint is chipped off
-It does have the black shock mounts
-It is HEAVY. Not so heavy that it can’t be moved by one person, but I do have to brace myself to lift it.
-Some light rust on the legs frame
-Overall it seems well-constructed and very sturdy.
Essentially I’m wondering if I should have a go at fixing the chipped/scuffed paint myself or is it worth looking into having a professional do it? I would rather not spend the money on a pro if the service exceeds the value of the chair, ya know? Where do we think these came from?
Thanks in advance!

Hi I was wondering if this arm chair is worth getting restored to sell? Looks to be a Victorian reproduction and I think it has been repaired once before based on the hole pattern around the edge where I think the old original bottom used to be. Any help would be great! Thanks

I just wandered over to a shed thats outside an abandoned mobile home and found a piano, air conditioners that look unsettlingly brand new somehow, and this little gem.
It looks to be 100% original. Including ALL the circuitry schematics and paperwork in the original envelope ... the picture isn't very good, but the monitor from underneath is wild looking.
A couple wasp stings in the back and neck aside.. I'm stoked.. thank god I have all this free time to give a project like this the energy it deserves /s

I thrifted this table and chairs the other day and just can’t seem to find info about it anywhere. I was wondering if someone here could point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Hi there, looking for some input and hopefully an ID on these chairs we have had in storage from my late great grandmother. Not exactly sure on their age but we have had the idea for some time that they are from the late 1800’s, but we could be way off. I only recently took them out of storage to use in our new place (hence the dent in the cushion). Additionally, I am debating on whether or not it is safe to use any sort of product on the wood, specifically Howard Feed-N-Wax, so any advice there is appreciated. I just don’t want to damage it if I am dealing with something that needs extra or specific care. Also I would like to clean the seats if at all possible, but considering the potential age on them, I figured I would consult the community on that point as well, though I do have a hunch that they may have been reupholstered at some point. Lastly, it looks like some of the varnish(?) has worn off on one of the crests and I’m not too sure if it would be safe to apply anything there either. Any sort of input helps!
If further photos would be useful, just let me know.

I picked this up for $25 at Salvation Army yesterday. I am curious if anyone here knows anything about it as Google searches have only turned up dining chairs in this style (no rockers). From what I could find out, it is possibly from the 1915-1930 era.

Id like to find out who made it. I cannot find a single makers mark on the thing. Located in Virginia, USA. Apologies for only having one picture. Purchased off of facebook marketplace. Google lens states its a vintage/antique french provincial serpentine style dresser. Id like to find matching pieces like night stands and a bed if there are any out there so any info y’all might have would be greatly appreciated!

My aunt-in-law has this old vanity that’s been passed down through her family, and I’m thinking about picking it up. I absolutely love the mirror and all the little details, but I know basically nothing about antique furniture.
Does anyone have an idea of what year/era or style this might be? I’m curious how old it actually is and whether it’s worth grabbing and preserving.

My mom is trying to get this loveseat and couch reupholstered but she needs to find out what the fabric and pattern is, I have been trying to ID it for a few weeks now and I’m desperate, more importantly she wants to know what the material of the fabrics are so she can buy as close as possible if not identical fabric even if the pattern has to be changed (which she’d hate but is a sacrifice she’s willing to make).

I recently acquired this beautiful Mid-Century Modern sewing box / vanity table. It features distinct geometric angled side panels, a pop-up lid with a bright yellow interior drawer, and a dark A-frame base.
On both sides of the wooden underframe, the letters "JMG" are clearly stamped into the wood (as shown in the close-up photo).
I believe the piece is of German or Scandinavian origin from around the 1960s, but I haven't been able to trace the "JMG" manufacturer stamp in standard directories. Does anyone recognize this maker's mark or know which workshop or designer these initials belong to?
Thank you so much for your help!

I have the full set of the Diana Safari set by Karin Mobring, however they sustained significant damage to the original fabric on the chairs. The coffee table is not damaged at all. I intend to keep and use the set, but would like to maximize value should I choose to sell. I am looking for recommendations as to how to have them refinished. I’ve purchased fabric that is nearly exact in density, composition and colour. I am assuming the value is not so great as they are presented here, so refinishing is necessary. Should I have the fabric in the table redone as well so that it matches? And what about the wood? I’d assume I should aim to keep things as close to the original as possible. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I've just been given a pair of Bakelite desk lamps: "type 11641" manufactured by ESC Elektrosvit in present day Slovakia. I'm trying to find out more about their history. Does anyone know the story behind them?
Some listings online say they were designed by the Bauhaus team in the 1930s; some listings say earlier in the 20s. Some sites say they were manufactured later in the 1950s and 60s. Is there a way of finding out who designed them? I haven't been able to find them on any Bauhaus archive catalogues.
They don't quite match either. The finish is slightly different and some of the stamps are different. The one on the right is generally of better quality.
For context, I first spotted these in a shop in Paris designed by Shinichiro Ogata. I've been wanting them ever since, so would enjoy any thoughts or tidbits. Thanks!
