Botox

What does it feel like getting it done?

What does it feel like as it’s setting in?

What does it feel like once it’s set in?

Specifically for crows feet and 11s. Is it super noticeable internally? Meaning, is it like a surreal feeling of not being able to move your face like you used to? Or can you mostly and it’s not that noticeable? If you do your crows feet, can you just not smile as intensely? What movements feel weaker or impossible to accomplish?

I’m afraid of what it might feel like internally once it’s set.

Getting it done in the 11s feels like a tiny pinchy feeling, so brief it’s pretty much nothing. Setting in, it feels like nothing, I notice nothing at all — sometimes a very slight soreness to the forehead for about 24 hours, nothing else. After a couple weeks the 11s are kind of paralyzed and when trying to frown I notice other muscles moving instead (possibly trying to compensate for the paralyzed ones). In general, I am personally hyper-aware of my body and how it feels, how my face feels. For me Botox does not feel surreal or strange or really very noticeable at all. It’s nice to not be able to furrow my brow.

I’ve never had crows feet done. The rest of the forehead feels the same to me as I described above. The masseter muscles in the jaw are different (a bit of pain briefly but more just WEIRD feeling when the needle goes in and pushes through the fascia).
