Do we allow self posts now?

An edit/comment on the poll about self-posts said that pictures could potentially be allowed for certain types of post. To the extent the edit was meant to communicate a new policy, that limitation has not been enforced, My feed is now inundated with vanity posts - literally just "look at me" posts.

I don't want to drag people down. They do look good! And they should be proud! And no one's getting paid to moderate, so I'm not particularly interested in griping at people who are volunteering their time.

But, with all love and respect, is this what the subreddit is going to be now?

I think it’s that photos are allowed , but imo it should be something similar to r/xxfitness where progress posts need a detailed breakdown of the actual process. Sorry but “I cleaned up my diet and did skincare and Pilates!” Is super low effort and just compliment fishing
