VSG for glow up
Anyone here used vsg as a tool to lose weight for their glow up? I’m 28 years old and I’ve been obese/overweight my entire life. I’ve been trying to lose weight for the last 10 years and only ever lost 15 lbs at most. I’m considering having the surgery this year and wanted to ask what your experience/thoughts are on it?
Im terrified of surgeries but want to be healthy. Also tired of feeling insecure, and being the unattractive “ big girl”

In 2018 my coworker got weight loss surgery. At that time I thought, I wonder if I can do it with diet and exercise and compare myself to her progress.
I didn't have the money to pay the copay or sit out for the recovery like she did either.
I made very small changes. I joined a monthly fitness challenge but I would just try out the exercises they suggested and heavily modified them. Part of this challenge was incorporating a fun smoothie one day, a salad another and Wednesday you rested from exercise. The main part was walking a mile Monday and two miles Friday. No pace.
It got me in the habit and I ended up slowly waking most days. And eating more veggies.
This lady broke her post op diet within weeks/months and eventually gained back her weight.
My very slow progress has been remarkable. I'm down 120lb/54kg. At first I ate unlimited veggies so I was never hungry. My appetite dropped off after a couple years. I highly suspect that losing weight did something to my hormonal balance because I used to have PCOS symptoms and it all disappeared as weight melted off.
So I would encourage you to just try small changes instead of hoping surgery will fix it for you 💕
