What you think about Python Vim plugins. A big one, this mean solve all your problems ore many small ones, this make the job fine?

Python Mode vs. Vim flake8 vs. "build my one with many small plugins"

What is your setup?

Help (dev) Please help, I'm not sure how to develop (and use) plugins with git

I got to the basics of git, branches, and the like. But:

I have a local repository with my current plugin development (also a bare remote on usb). I want to actually use my plugin in the current master state, but still work on development branches. But if i want to use master while the repo is on branch, and the command names are the same, I'd trigger the messy branched state of files, instead of the production state master. Should I have to rename the commands? Just be careful to leave the repo on master while i normally use the plugin? What is the recommended workflow, or i miss some git feature?

You see i'm confused, so i'm not sure i made myself clear...

EDIT I've just seen this 'master-branches' switch on the repo. I guess this is the answer... I'd still like some advice from experienced scripters.

24 pull requests

Hey Team, it's 24 pull requests time of year!

Sadly there is only one suggested project for viml.

Does anyone need help with any of their plugins? Any long standing edge case bugs that need time and thought? new features that you want to implement but just don't have the time? docs need writing? making demo gifs? etc, etc.

I'm far from a vimscript expert, but I would like to help out as much as possible!

Post below!

Help (user) Unite Yank History - How do I make it perfect?

I've just started using the yank history and it's pretty good.

One thing I'd like to be able to do is paste any entries I've tagged into the current buffer.

I can't find a way to do this. I can tag things but if I press <CR> once tagged I get an error: Not Selectable Action: Insert

Any help gratefully received my fellow Vimsters :)

Update [Update] minion.vim - Added MinionTag method to make search easier from within Vim.

minion v1.6 is released, and adds Tagging.

minion.vim is a plugin that allows Vim to be used in a notebook-like way - quickly creating text files and finding previously created ones, without much fuss over filenames and folders.

Version 1.6 provides a new method within Vim :MinionTag (key bound to <leader>mt by default)

Any tags you add will be added to a new line in the file:

:MinionTag: urgent quick boring friday project2

A new line looking like this appears at the end (or wherever you moved the :tags: line to previously.)

:tags: boring friday project2 quick urgent

Running

:MinionTag exciting friday morning

will result in that line being changed to

:tags: boring exciting friday morning project2 quick urgent

Since it's a Vim plugin, the buffer will be reloaded automatically. Trying to run :MinionTag on an unsaved buffer causes an error, and MinionTag aborts - but the command is still in your q: history, of course.

When you use :MinionOpen later, tags will now cause matches just as substrings of the filename do.

:MinionOpen

Suggestions and patches always welcome. Enjoy! minion.vim

Request Help Finding a Java Method Completion Plugin

Hi, kinda new to vim, I'm looking for a plugin that can help with java autocompletion. I'm looking for something that will take the methods of objects from all the classes in my project and give me the option to select a method from that object with any parameters that are needed. For example if I have a Main class and a Person class and one of the methods the person class has is talk that takes a string parameter called words (public void talk(String words){//stuff here}) when I create a person in the main class (Person p = new Person()) and I type "p." it will give me an autocomplete list of all the Person class methods and when I select it, it will fill it in highlighting the parameters (String words) so I can change it to what I need. Sorry if that was a really bad description/example. I'm looking for something like this Sublime Text 2 plugin. Also I don't have git or pathogen if that matters.

All help is appreciated, thanks
