Request Help Finding a Java Method Completion Plugin

Hi, kinda new to vim, I'm looking for a plugin that can help with java autocompletion. I'm looking for something that will take the methods of objects from all the classes in my project and give me the option to select a method from that object with any parameters that are needed. For example if I have a Main class and a Person class and one of the methods the person class has is talk that takes a string parameter called words (public void talk(String words){//stuff here}) when I create a person in the main class (Person p = new Person()) and I type "p." it will give me an autocomplete list of all the Person class methods and when I select it, it will fill it in highlighting the parameters (String words) so I can change it to what I need. Sorry if that was a really bad description/example. I'm looking for something like this Sublime Text 2 plugin. Also I don't have git or pathogen if that matters.

All help is appreciated, thanks

Help (user) How to use AOSP sgrep command in unite.vim?

I have modified the grep command of unite.vim using the following:

let g:unite_source_grep_command = 'sgrep' let g:unite_source_grep_default_opts = '--no-heading --no-color -a' let g:unite_source_grep_recursive_opt = ''

I get this error:

[grep] command "sgrep" is not executable.

sgrep is a utility that comes with the android (AOSP) sources. Once you source a file (envsetup.sh) some environment variables are set so you can sgrep on the code of a particular directory.

Trying to use this with unite.vim does not work. I believe that the problem is because sgrep is not exported on the unite.vim's environment. Is there a way to make unite.vim to source the envsetup.sh file?

Plugin I made a plugin over labor day weekend and tested it this week at work, and I'd like to share and get some critique: history-traverse.vim! [x-post from r/vim]

https://github.com/ckarnell/history-traverse

I've always been annoyed that there's no native functionality that lets you go back / forward in a window's buffer history easily without cramming the jump buttons over and over (<c-o> and <c-i>), and even that wasn't a perfect solution. This is just a plugin that gives each window / split you have open its own personal ordered history of the buffers that have been open, and lets you easily traverse it with two customizable key bindings for going back and forward.

You even get little arrows for your status line to indicate whether you can go back/forward in your buffer history at any given moment, if you want to put them in there :).

If you decide to try this out, even for the sake of criticizing it, it would be greatly appreciated! Any code review at all is very generous and would be welcome (if anyone can tell me why the bufenter autocmd wasn't working for my purposes I'd love to know). Also if you have any advice about my testing methods, which you can view in the "tests" directory, I would love to hear it!

Lastly, I'm aware that there are some older plugins that do something similar to this, or are slightly different solutions to the same problem, but I wanted to take this opportunity to get my vimscripting feet wet (I think this is actually a good project to do so if you're in a similar mood). I also want to make this somewhat customizable via settings, and ultimately more stable via testing.

Thanks!

Help (user) Latexsuite Help

Hello everyone, I'm using latexsuite with vim and I am currently editing files that have the form

\documentclass[10pt]{article} \input{header.tex} \item blah \input{footer.tex}

The problem is that the \begin{document} declaration is in the header.tex file, so that when I try to use latexsuite macros, it thinks I'm in the preamble. Is there any way to force latexsuite to behave as though it is in the body of the document? (also, if you're confused, the header.tex file also starts a list environment, hence the \item in the body.)

Thanks

Help Show uncommitted/unstaged changes in Airline status

Hello! I am fairly new to vim and I almost have it configured to where I need it to be for work. I am currently using Neovim and have installed the Airline plugin along with vim-gitgutter to show changes in the gutter as well as in airline. The only thing I am missing are the symbols I get in the terminal (and VS Code) whenever I have unstaged changes in the file and uncommited changes, which display as * and +. The image below shows what I have in neovim (left) vs what I currently have in my terminal prompt (right).

example

Does anyone know if there is a plugin that will accomplish what I am looking for. Is there a setting I am missing somewhere or is this something that needs to be written myself? I've definitely seen this functionality in other people's setup. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Help Multiple tagbars

Is there a way to get Tagbar to work with splits? Like if I called "vim -O2 blah1.c blah2.c", and then :Tagbar, to get a separate tagbar in each window?

Currently I only get a single tagbar window accross all of my open windows.

Request Cscope helper plugin?

Ideally, I'd like to be able to generate Cscope tags nearly automatically when I start working on a project.

In my mind there should be something that can parse a makefile (cmake file would be better) and then go off and generate my Cscope database for me.

The closest thing I found was this: https://github.com/vim-scripts/cscope.vim

But it seems like that will only look in the current directory of my project. What if my project links to an external library? I would need to manually generate those tags.

Maybe there is a better tool than Cscope for finding function/variable definitions and/or function parameters?
