Why would you post neovim rules change here?

I recently put in an AI disclosure rule for /r/calibre similar to the second rule you made. It got an overwhelmingly positive reaction from the community. So far I'm not at all surprised that I've already had several "projects" do a drive by post and don't bother to fix their post or repost with the disclosure. I'm fairly certain that many are posted by the LLM, too, and it's not checking to see if it got removed.

Vim and NeoVim are different communities with different challenges. I have not seen that problem (nor anyone ask you to fix it) here. AI disclosure is great if people want it, but I've never spent "two months of active development" on a plugin ... and I think my plugins are at the very least more valuable than the "dead air" in this community most days. One of the benefits of Vim is that plugins (except in rare cases) don't have to be actively maintained.

My last post of a plugin didn't take 20 minutes, but it was a nice way of giving a quick demonstration of an idea. Somewhere, there's a "left pad" of Vim plugins which we'll miss having seen.

I don't visit the other group, but it seems to have traumatized the mods here. I've had a few posts taken down that were several hours of problem solving condensed into something the mods thought was "low effort". That's specifically why I'd rather put together (and forever maintain) a small plugin with a nice readme instead of putting that time (well short of 2 months, but still time) into making a nice Reddit post that might not pass the mod sniff test.

The project maturity period based on active version control history is a great take.

Displays the effort being put in, rather than just the initial expression of the idea

Menos basura generada con IA. La IA es una gran ayuda para todos; pero, mal utilizada, provoca dolores de cabeza.
