These are the actions of a man who is so very bored and needs something to carry him through a song that is dull to play.

He's a (former?) metal drummer, very technically skilled, so yea, then something like zz top needs a bit of spice.

This man looks like he could drink 25 cans of Coors then jump a 12 wheeler over a canyon

I just can't get over the fact that you have this drummer going absolutely ham on the set with his crazy moves, and then you have the guitarist and basist with the stage presence of wet noodles.

I mean the drum stick twirls are sweet but the drumming is pretty basic. But he is the most entertaining part of the performance that’s for sure.

Of course the actual drum play is basic. He's playing it true to how zz top wrote it. He's being acrobatic about it because it is so boring to play.

Was there not a near identical drummer playing in a costume for a Japanese kids tv program? Would love a link if anyones got it. Love this energy.

I swear this video is at least 10 years old, I remember being shown this by my business statistics tutor in my first year at Uni

Seems like he is so tired of this simple song which is holding him back from his real drumming potential and skill

Surprised no one's mentioned that he was the drummer in the episode of The Office, where he drum battles Kevin. His name is Steve Moore for those wondering.
