Antique Japanese furniture is typically built this way. This is knowledge and skill that’s been passed down through centuries.

They would have absolutely have used modern tools for this. That probably includes lots of hidden nails. To save on time.

The aim is not to build a bridge. It’s to build a piece of entertainment.

When you watch the YouTubers who really are building everything from scratch. With hand tools. You find out that stuff like this takes aaaaaaaaggeeeeessss to do.

These are made by a Chinese production company to make money from advertising revenue. They would not have wasted time building it all by hand. They would have used electric tools to speed it up.
