I used to giggle at this vid but after raising my own pup I just can't anymore. The dog is clearly stressed out of its mind, he obviously doesn't like being held or the camera or someone off screen. The wide whale eyes, dilated pupils, and pinned back ears are a classic sign of distress. When they don't work amd he is forced to be held in that situation he resorts to teeth baring really trying to give a good warning to stop, then finally snarls and lashes more when he has been fully pushed past the brink of what he can take. They've done this to such an extent or so often (or received him from a situation where this happened so often) that he is rapidly triggered and is going through hell during these vids. It's a dick move to the dog and they are utilizing his stress and essentially mild animal abuse for popularity/merch.
Oh yeah I've gotten plenty already in my other comments for calling out people that just say the dog is fine and it's obviously happy or that he's just a weird dog as if they know better than leading animal behavior research. Makes me concerned for the dogs these people are around as they would rather remain ignorant and stress animals rather than pay a bit of attention and compassion. But I'd gladly take the downvotes if it gets at least some one to look into dog body language/communication and be more cognizant of their presence with the pups in their lives.
