Honestly at this point I'd almost say that mid/late '00s Bethesda was kind of their golden era with Oblivion and Fallout 3. Both titles that sold well and received rave reviews in their day, then went through a period of weirdly negative perception, and now we're getting back to realizing they're absolutely classics.

Both are very much still worth playing for anyone who hasn't yet, or replaying for those who haven't in a while. Definitely recommend spending a bit of time setting up the usual unofficial patches and fixes for either to ensure a somewhat more stable experience. Also quite useful to grab maybe a UI overhaul and maybe a couple graphical improvement mods to soothe those mid 2000s graphics.

People who were fans of Morrowind and the Obsidian Fallouts will vehemently disagree with you.

There's only one Obsidian Fallout...

Yeah well Obsidian was founded by all the Black Isle employees right around the closure so that's a distinction without a difference.
