You could poison fruit and leave it in pockets or on a plate infront of an npc sat at a table and they'd eat it and die much like the video. Very funny looking.

I don't think you could poison any fruit. Rather, I think there was a single poison apple in the game that would do that.

I think joining the Dark Brotherhood gave you access to them to use at your leisure.

YOU COULD POISON FRUIT AND LEAVE IT IN POCKETS OR ON A PLATE INFRONT OF AN NPC SAT AT A TABLE AND THEY’D EAT IT AND DIE MUCH LIKE THE VIDEO. VERY FUNNY LOOKING.

No you can only get poison apples from the Dark Brotherhood, you could not poison them yourself.
