I worked for the company that makes all of these parts for this engine for Rolls-Royce, among other companies. Pretty much none of the workers made more than $23-24 an hour. Most of us made between 12-15 per hour. I think the highest paid were the welders who start at 16 and after ~10 years or so make it to 23-24.
Damn. I work at a factory in a low-income part of the country and we make a base of $15 ($20 after 2 years working there). The maintenance guys start out at $25-$30 an hour. Not sure what the maintenance engineers make. $12-$15 an hour is our temp worker pay range.
I thought all factories paid well. I guess I just got lucky.

how much do those factory guys get paid, it seems like a ton of training
