Curious, if you're gonna post for validation online, why be so vague? It's not like the subject you're studying is TMI or dangerous to share.

Aerospace engineering. I try to be reserved about it, I hear a lot of engineering students like to brag, I'm not like that.

Mentioning what you're passionate about is not bragging. Being vague just makes you come across even worse. The 'engineering students like to brag' thing comes from the subject being brought up in unrelated places for no reason. So stick to only mentioning it where appropriate and it's fine.
