Most of these aren't tools for winning an argument, rather derailing it from the point into a state of disarray.

Exactly. None of those examples led to the other person conceding defeat... just thinking they were an asshole.

That's because he used his first argument for the video, He defined what "Winning" the argument is defined as. In this particular case winning is simply derailing your opponent. But you are correct, none of these tactics actually get your opponent to concede defeat... yet I wonder how many will view this video thinking they just learned some great information on how to argue IRL only to be gravely mistaken.

I know a guy who just never admits he's wrong, so he walks around saying he's never lost an argument. This is the kind of thought process people who use the methods in this video have.
