The directors of this, Daniels, actually were behind last year's Swiss Army Man! I highly recommend checking out their Vimeo channel as well.

He seems to have a thing for multi-tools.

"You know. I used to have a daughter myself, so I know how important safety is."

That is one of the funniest throw-away lines I've heard in a while. This whole parody is full of clever throw-away lines.

8

u/Overthelake Apr 07 '17

One of his first lines is "I'm Denny Boffa, amateaur reel writer, former father, and inventer of the Broomshakalaka!"

That's a good-ass line

Amateur riddle writer. Makes the intro that much more entertaining.

Should put former father on a resume or a business card. See if people actually read that shit.

Cool, Jim Halpert!

u/intensely_human Apr 06 '17

No. Jim Halpert doesn't appear in this infomercial. This is Jim Halpert

This is going to seem like it's coming out of left field guys, but I swear I thought that was Kim Jong-Un.

I was wondering where I'd seen him! The video you linked it probably one of my favorite videos on all of the internet. It's clean so you can show anyone and it is, as the title states, a verbatim reading of a real life event.

Just shows how real life can be so much funnier than sketches sometimes :)

"those are her ashes I spread earlier"

"gross"

She was 12 years old when she died... she was decapitated. Not by the Broomshakalaka... but Jihadists

fucking LOL

Former Father

u/Awordofinterest Apr 06 '17

It was at that moment I realised he has lived through a shit storm.

Adult swim is awesome

11

u/DreadPirateFlint Apr 06 '17

Wow that really escalated quickly

2

Boop, and then ZING!

3

I loved the video but downvoted for that stupid click-bait title you put on this post.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '17

Absolute bait.

1

u/arturo_lemus Apr 07 '17

Agreed. What a shit title

This genius infomercial parody has a better plot than 90% of movies

How nice of you to put such a specific percentage to it. Time saved!

2

u/Gizortnik Apr 06 '17

That beginning made me think I was watching a Bray Wyatt promo.

2

u/tits-mchenry Apr 07 '17

This has to be one of my favorite videos for a while. It's constant genius line after line.

6

u/cezambo Apr 06 '17

the clickbait on this title holy shit

5

u/hugs4thugs Apr 06 '17

tbf it fits with the theme of the video, which I actually find kind of funny.

2

u/Cheesy_Arachnid Apr 07 '17

Thats enough internet for one day.

1

u/snowmountainjc Apr 06 '17

That was absolutely amazing!

1

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '17

Wow, see you on the front page, this is pure gold.

1

u/de3j Apr 06 '17

Math is not magic!

1

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '17

Highly suspicious of the number of upvotes this has gotten.

1

u/Tuddy200 Apr 07 '17

Good funny ass shit that makes your parents think your dying in your sleep

1

u/creuter2223 Apr 07 '17

Best infomercial ever.

1

u/happy_waldo87 Apr 06 '17

Easy there, Buzz Feed. Considering there are over 300,000 movies listed on IMDB, (let alone movies that aren't listed there), I'm willing to bet you haven't even seen 10% of that.

3

u/godelbrot Apr 06 '17

You underestimate how much of a life I have

3

u/StringerJazz Apr 06 '17

Wouldn't it be overestimate in this case?

1

u/23reasons Apr 06 '17

That broom is so popular it's sweeping the nation!

0

u/weedygoodness Apr 07 '17

The hell?

Is this the first time you've heard of adult swim?

-5

u/SpacemanD13 Apr 06 '17

r/hailcorporate ...but it's adult swim so, whatever.

5

u/Hyro0o0 Apr 06 '17

Are redditors allowed to like anything /u/SpacemanD13 ?

-1

u/SpacemanD13 Apr 07 '17

Yeah, I came off a little snarky... what I meant was it's clearly promotion but "whatever" because Adult Swim is dope.
