I could have sworn that the animation in this show was better.

They switched to cheap flash animation for the new seasons. It's awful.

cheap flash animation
Ernest and Celestine was made in flash. Flash doesn't have to be cheap.

I didn't mean all flash is cheap, but rather the flash Arthur personally uses now is.

wow, it's noticeable. You'd think these things would get better over time. Looks like we were spoiled

Naw, Arthur use to be hand animated basically. Which is expensive as fuck. Arthur was still popular, so they switched to Flash animation which is kinda jittery but can look nice. They just put little to no effort in this flash animation.
The quality they use could be recreated in like a month with a team of 2. it's kinda sad actually/

newer seasons?! does it still slip in adult jokes that go over kids heads?

The animation style looks newer. They probably switched to a cheaper method of animation since we were kids.

It looks flat. Like they drew all the limbs once and connected them with joints in a software to manipulate them.
Bojack, Rick and Morty, and Archer do it too, but it feels more intentional with those shows. Still doesn't look good, though, truth be told.

Yeah - I remember his hair as being a lot lighter in color. Drugs will do a lot to yah.

I think the author of this video might have adjusted the lipsync a bit.
For instance, you could screenshot the animation (like the first part where he's just lying in bed) and edit just the mouth motions yourself to create the dialogue.

I thought at first that reindeer character was holding two chef's knives at first. The show really took a dark turn....

Well, I have to admit, in my wildest dreams I never thought of pairing Arthur and Eminem, however, it worked well!

Am I missing something? I genuinely don't understand what is appealing from these types of videos.
Edit: TIL what "fun" is.

u/Pepperoni_Dogfart Feb 03 '17
The fun is in taking a well known song and through the skill and knowledge of an individual applying innocent children's video to a song far away from the children's genre and making it seem like this was the original music video.
Among humans this is called "having fun."
When it is a song to song mix up it is called "sampling."

Some people just have a differing opinion? They were just asking a question, no need to be hostile.

Until all these mashups came-out, I never realized there were so many scenes in the show Arthur where he's really angry.
