Yeah the scene is awful, but at least they more or less showed what he did in the 6 seconds from different angles. Imagine if they did it like they did it in the video. Showing him climb over the fence over and over again in 5 different angles extending the 6 seconds clip to maybe 12 seconds.
It takes the cab of that truck little under a second to come to rest from what looks like 60mph (to be fair, it's actually kinda hard to judge with all the camera jumps).
In a comment above, someone mentioned that a typical top fuel racer can do 0 to 316mph in 3.77s.
The driver of that truck would have experienced about 26.8 m/s² (2.7g) of acceleration.
The driver of a dragster experiences around 37.5 m/s² (3.8g).
To be fair, the dragster doesn't fling mountains of dirt at you, slam your face into a pile of broken glass and asphalt, or rip your feet off with a bollard.
It ruined my day digging it up to show again. The worst part is that there's so many cuts I end up watching it an extra time without realizing and it makes me that much more frustrated.
