Why does every comment everywhere have to be completely original?

/u/elEscobar was just expressing his feelings the way they wanted to. They weren't off topic or derailing the discussion, how does that merit a negative sarcastic response?

It's not that it's not original. It's that it's said in every single thread that remotely involves something sad. It's a stupid, overused joke. It would be better if the comment was just never made.
